All our dishes are prepared in house from locally sourced ingredients where possible, by chefs who care about food and service. We are situated in the village of Coleorton, Leicestershire, on the A512 about 2 miles from the historic market town of Ashby de la Zouch in the heart of the National Forest. Although we are situated on a main road the view from our garden and patio is of beautiful Leicestershire countryside once visited by and inspired the likes of Wordsworth, Constable and many other artists such as George Beaumont (who the pub is said to be named after) once lived at Coleorton Hall and was the founder of the National Gallery and a great supporter of the arts. George, himself, was an artist - many prints of his paintings adorn the walls of this atmospheric pub. Due to our location on the A512 we are a destination food pub, therefore, parking is ample and disability facilities are available

Please note that food service hours will vary slightly against this; we are open for drinks as usual on Christmas Day from 11-2 and then closed 26th-28th. Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you throughout the festive season ❤️

🎀 CHARITY RAFFLE AT THE GEORGE 🎀

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so we’re especially pleased to be supporting Bracrafts, a fantastic local fundraising group turning unwanted bras into beautiful handmade creations and raising money for breast cancer charities. 💗

Bracrafts has already raised over £13,000, and has even received support from TV favourite Lorraine Kelly, who donated a bra for one of their charity auctions! 🌟
