Announcement.

The landlady and her staff have been offered an amazing opportunity at another premises which they simply couldn’t pass up on, so sadly the Belper arms has now closed with immediate effect

We have thoroughly enjoyed running The Belper since we opened in April and feel we have had the ultimate crash course on how to run a successful and enjoyable pub restaurant with obstacles stacked against us (covid, rural location etc) but we felt it was our time to move on.

We sincerely hope that future tenants continue our family orientated atmosphere, 5 star food service as well as the great reputation we have built.

We would like to say thank you to all customers old and new and we wish the new tenants success and good luck.

Edit - after receiving many messages of concern regarding the belpers length of closure, We can confirm that there is no tenant secured at the premises at the moment and therefore we can not offer any further information on this.

COWS RUNNING FREE

We have had a visit from the cows in the field behind us. They have had a good run around the car park until being hearded back into their field

If anybody is able to contact the owners then please could you pass on the message that they have broken the fencing so it will need repairing as soon as possible to prevent them escaping onto the Belper again 😬

We are all quite concerned they will conduct another great escape after we close this evening with nobody to heard them away and will end up on the roads and/or causing damage to the grounds

PS a big thank you to the lady sat in the garden who jumped into action and hearded them away.

CAR MEET
Saturday 11th September at 3pm

Join us this weekend for a car meet aimed at the classics and the new, the standards and the modified as well as the rare and the popular

We have a photographer on site for the day to take digital images of your pride and joy as well as our kitchen and bar being open as usual to serve you drink and food.

CAR MEET
Saturday 11th September from 3pm
Food served at 3:30pm

After posting on local sites and gaining a lot of positive interest we have decided to go ahead with arranging a car meet.

The event will include a burger meal (numerous options available) as well as a fully edited digital photo from a professional photographer. We will be using the Belper grounds as a natural backdrop and be hosting the event during the day to take advantage of the natural sunlight. The price per car owner will be £25 to be paid in advance as well as having your food selection for pre order. Last minute bookings will be accepted upto 24 hours in advance if tickets are still available.

Spectators are also welcome to attend without paying a fee and place normal food and drink orders from the bar. Only one ticket is needed to be purchased per car unless passengers are wanting to take advantage of the deal to receive a meal and an extra photo for the car they are coming in. We are aiming the event at local car enthusiasts. We are hoping to see a wide range of classics and new, the Standards and the modified as well as the rare and the popular.

Hopefully we will be able to make this a monthly event and hope to see all those locally who are passionate about their cars attend the event.

Our bar and restaurant will be open as usual on the day.
