Friday 17 June 2011 what a day, we woke up nervous worried to death if people would support us opening The Bulls Head Clotton, well you certainly did some 12 years later we sit here writing this post with the heaviest of hearts and yes a tear or two in our eyes.
Rumours galore have been circulating lately about The Bull some of them are absolute laughable and others are saddening that people are actually saying that about us.
The truth is as follows
Whilst in Australia we were given the opportunity to talk to the owners of the George & Dragon, after our conversation we decided to take it on.
We NEVER once took on the George to shut the Bull but kitchen staffing issues caused us massive headaches and kept myself and Catherine from working at The Bull and unfortunately it’s become increasingly impossible to run two pubs.
The Bull needs a lot of work and time spent on it and unfortunately we just can’t do it, even if we could we’d be back in the same place of running 2 pubs.
The landlord as agreed to complete all necessary work and we are talking to people who are keen to take the place over and continue with pool, darts, sky tv and a good old boozer.
I’m confident once all work is complete it can get back to being a great place and I’m confident you locals will support the new landlords.
From myself, Catherine and family we’d like to say a massive thank you for making the last 12 years so enjoyable god we’ve had some laughs.
You are not just customers you are our friends .
We’ve moved 3 miles away and hopefully will see some of you in The George, but if not we wish you all nothing but happiness and success in everything you do .
And now to everyone who’s ever worked for us thank you, you’ve all been ace
This Saturday the 10th June 2023 11.30pm the bell at The Bulls Head will ring for the final time under our management
Much love to you all
