The Salthouse update many of you have been waiting for💙

To all of our customers and friends who may know, unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to buy The Salthouse. We put in our offer, but it was beaten by a higher one that we simply couldn’t match due to circumstances beyond our control.

We believed we had the final say and the opportunity to purchase the building, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

However, we still hold the lease and will continue running The Salthouse until we decide it’s our time to leave. Just because the pub has been sold does not mean Wetherspoons will be taking over anytime soon.

We really didn’t want this to happen, as we know the impact it could have on other local businesses, but the decision was ultimately out of our hands. We will continue running The Salthouse for at least another 8 years under our current lease, and hopefully for many years beyond that.

We love every single customer and fellow business in Clevedon. Thank you for your continued support, and please remember to support local.

Now that summer is “over” we have gone back to our normal kitchen opening hours.

Monday to Thursday we will be open from 12pm until 3pm,then 6pm until 9pm.

Fridays and Saturdays we will be open all day from 12pm until 9pm.

Sundays we will be open from 12pm until 4pm.

Thank you all for a lovely summer season, seeing all your friendly faces and pups made us all smile🥰
