Authentic Chinese Cuisine with Modern Vibes, Fine Wines, Elegant Surroundings, Unforgettable Flavours and Warm Hospitality. Junior Poon Chinese Restaurant & Wine Bar, established since 16th Dec 1992, is housed in a majestic Grade 2 listed Georgian building on Hill Road, Clevedon. We are a small, independent restaurant, recognized for our excellent service and the quality of our food. We specialized in Peking and Szechuan cuisine and we accommodate special diets, food allergies, gluten free choices and a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. We have a function room for up to 45 people. Take away service is available everyday at 10% discount off the menu prices (except for 'special offer' menus). The wine bar has a Mediterranean feel with a warm ambiance in a comfortable atmosphere. There are various choices of Chinese Tapas available. The wine bar provides an avenue for those who wish to have a less formal a la cart meal. We do sell Gift Vouchers to any amount and they are suitable for any occasion, If you are looking for a gift for a friend or a family member; why not drop by and purchase a Junior Poon Gift Voucher which can be redeemed in our restaurant, wine bar or even for a take away! ✨ What an incredible evening we had on Sunday for our final night…🥰
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us to celebrate 33 and a half wonderful years. It was truly a pleasure to welcome you all one last time to JP’s..🥺

✨ A special thanks to John Prescott for entertaining us with his fabulous voice and to our amazing Team for their hard work, dedication and commitment over the years.

✨ The response to our retirement has been overwhelming. We never imagined we would receive such love and good wishes and we are deeply touched by your kindness 🙏

✨ Since announcing our retirement, you have kept us fully booked every single day and we are incredibly grateful for the many cards, gifts, private messages, emails and kind wishes we have received 😊

✨ From both of us and our entire team, Thank You for your trust, loyalty, support and friendship throughout the years. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve you.

✨ As we reach our final days before retirement, we would like to take a moment to say a huge Thank You to all of our wonderful Team Members.

✨ To our amazing Front of House Team and our incredible Kitchen Crew - many of you have been with us for so many years that you have truly become part of our family. We have shared an unbelievable journey together, countless memories, challenges, successes and laughter - we will always cherish those moments.

✨ Thank You for the incredible hard work you have given, not only during these past few weeks as we have been fully booked every day since announcing our retirement, but throughout all the years we have worked together. Your passion, dedication, enthusiasm, kindness and those ever-welcoming smiles have been the heart and soul of everything we do. We are endlessly grateful for the care, commitment and support you bring every single day. Quite simply, we could not have done it without you and we appreciate each and every one of you more than words can express.

✨ We are immensely proud of everything we have achieved together and of the special place we have created. Watching you grow and seeing all that we have accomplished as a team has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives.

As we approach our final weeks before retirement, we wanted to share a small update with you.

💫 Our Wine Bar will now be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5.30pm onwards. During particular busy periods, we may temporarily stop serving food in the wine bar to help our chefs maintain quality and service standards.

💫 To help minimise food wastage, on Friday 19th June and Saturday 20th June Evenings, we will be serving our House Set Menus only

💫 With heavy hearts, we can now confirm that our Restaurant & Wine Bar will be closing its doors on Sunday 21st June 2026 for our retirement 😔

✨ On the final day, Sunday 21st June, in an effort to minimise food wastage, for lunch we will be serving only our House Set Menus and in the evening we will be serving only our House Set Menu C, an iconic - much loved menu that Junior originally created many years ago during his time working in Bristol at the “Grand City” and it has remained our most popular set menu ever since. It feels only fitting to present this much - loved menu one last time to mark the closing chapter of his career 🤤

We kindly ask that you do not email or message us, as tables are being booked extremely quickly. Many guests are reserving multiple tables for different dates and many dates are already fully booked 🫣

When calling, please have a couple of alternative dates in mind in case your preferred option is no longer available. We would do our very best to accommodate as many of you as we can for your final meal at JP’s before our closing date 😔
