Well, what a week it’s been - Really busy as you would expect in this weather. We stock up, staff up and get on with the job - no problem. What is a problem though is when a couple do ‘a runner’ for no reason whatsoever. It’s been reported to the police primarily because the guy would’ve been over the drink drive limit but they owe us £47. The absolute idiot actually drove off in a sign written van (local roofing firm) and we also have clear CCTV footage of their faces which will be passed on to the police. No naming and shaming YET - but why do people think it’s ok - is £47 really worth the whole load of trouble that is coming their way - I doubt it!

Working in hospitality can be very challenging. Long days, late nights, difficult customers, working weekends while others are out enjoying themselves, but then sometimes something as little as a postcard from such a lovely young man can make it worthwhile.
