Thank you to the wonderful Anne Trampolin who left this review last month. Need we say more?
"We had a truly wonderful experience at the charming and historic The Bell at Sapperton in the Cotswolds.
We spent a delightful evening on the terrace, enjoying both the beautiful surroundings and an exceptional dinner. Everything we tasted was delicious: the cod, the lamb shank with pommes de terre boulangère, and the fish & chips, accompanied by what was probably the best tartare sauce we have ever had! The desserts were equally wonderful — and the panna cotta was quite possibly the best I have ever tasted.
We also stayed for one night at the hotel, and our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was modern and very well organised. We particularly appreciated the automatic soft lighting that gently switched on during the night — such a small detail, but a wonderfully considerate touch.
Breakfast the following morning was another highlight. The Eggs Benedict were excellent, served with the most wonderful hollandaise sauce.
Throughout our stay, the staff were kind, welcoming, and genuinely sympathetic, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Our only regret is that we stayed for just one night! We would have loved to stay longer, and we will certainly return to The Bell at Sapperton for a longer stay. A truly special place in the Cotswolds that we would be very happy to recommend."
