Rated one of the cosiest pubs for winter by The Times in December 2021, the Bell at Sapperton is a stunning, historic, award winning Cotswold food pub in a beautiful secluded romantic setting with terraced gardens, sunny courtyards and roaring log fires. We have taken Covid safety measures very responsibly, so just let us know if you would like your table to be served by staff wearing masks.

If this is what June tastes like… we’re very ready for summer 🍓☀️

A little look at two of the dishes joining our June menu at The Bell, and honestly, the kitchen has outdone itself again.

To start: cured beef bresaola with fresh figs, rocket, Cotswold Gold and parmesan. Salty, sweet, peppery and exactly the sort of thing you want with a cold glass of wine in the garden.

And for dessert… fresh raspberry tart with crème pâtissière, raspberry coulis and coconut ice cream. Light, fresh and very hard to share.

We’ve been leaning into seasonal flavours, beautiful local produce and dishes that feel made for long June evenings in the Cotswolds. This menu is shaping up to be a very good one 🤍

Second Bank Holiday weekend = another excuse for cocktails in the sunshine 🍸

Some places are too special not to be painted.

As we get closer to the grand reopening of The Tunnel House , the lovely Emily from Pud & Ink has been quietly working away on something very special for us.

Her beautiful Cotswold watercolours have captured not just The Bell and The Tunnel House, but the landscape and feeling of this part of the world so perfectly.

There’s something timeless about seeing these places through an artist’s eye, and we’re so grateful for the care, talent and detail Emily has poured into every piece.

Thank you Emily for capturing The Bell so beautifully. We can’t wait to share more soon 🤍

Slow mornings at the Bell after a good night's rest in one of our cozy Bed & Breakfast rooms.

Spring’s landed on the menu…

A couple of things our kitchen has been working on this season; and they’ve turned out exactly how we’d hoped.

Confit lamb sweetbread with pancetta, fresh peas and toast - rich, comforting, and full of those early spring flavours.

Cornish stonebass with nduja, Shetland mussels, sea herbs and white wine sauce - lighter, brighter, with just the right amount of warmth behind it.

Seasonal, considered, and best enjoyed in the sunshine with a glass of something cold.

These are the kind of dishes we love cooking this time of year; simple in idea, but all about the detail.
