On the road since 2003...
With his charming, daft, and warm brand of music-infused stand-up comedy, this guitar-toting funny man has been entertaining audiences across the UK for nearly 20 years. His original songs, with well-crafted lyrics and catchy tunes, span many genres from Jazz to Coldplay, via 1960's girl-group pop!

He regularly appears at comedy clubs such as ROFL, Jongleurs and Mirth Control, and has been a resident MC at RipRoar and his own club. His YouTube channel contains original songs, parodies and other strange goings on.

Ashley has something for most audiences. Intelligent, geeky, silly, and occasionally naughty, he's playful but never rude!

Our next act announcement is a first for Barking Toad Comedy. Join us for some sketch comedy and the fantastic talents of Biscuit Barrel at The Golden Cross Inn on 7th July.

Biscuit Barrel are a quickfire sketch group, whose comedy puts the speed of the internet onto a stage. "An excellent comedy show" ★★★★ Broadway Baby (2022). Their full shows feature 69 sketches performed in an hour, which they've taken to Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton Fringe, Wi******er Comedy Festival, amongst others. "Dropped something? Don't even think of picking it up as you may miss an entire sketch" The List (2019). They have their own night running in Bristol, and are active across the Bristol, London and Brighton circuits.

Doing paid middles and open spots on bigger clubs Jake has performed at a number of the clubs in London such as the Stand Up Club on weekend spots, plus gigs around the UK.

"Jake is one of the newer acts to ever get booked for The Stand-Up Club on a Saturday night, which is a huge compliment to him. We think he has natural funny bones and hope you will like him as much as we do."

Our award winning headliner for Barking Toad Comedy at The Golden Cross Inn on 7th July is the fantastic Jon Pearson.

Jon is also a familiar face on at comedy festivals across the UK having taken three solo shows to the Leicester, Nottingham & Edinburgh festivals with the highlight of the all coming in the form of a sold out show at his home town Melton Theatre in Melton Mowbray.

Jon has also provided tour support for Darren Harriot on his UK 2018/2019 tour and Lucy Porter on her UK 2017 tour

Jon’s laid back storytelling has audiences hanging on his every word. With tales based around his own life experiences, his anecdotes are relatable and certain to have people in hysterics. Jon is a prefect addition to any line up and can both MC and do a set.
