Just a polite reminder to confirm that we have made the tough decision to close our doors on a Wednesday for the foreseeable future. This was a difficult decision to make and has been based on a number of factors, namely the landlord's new job and unpredictable trading patterns. We continue to work hard behind the scenes to keep the pub going for the village and thank those who have shown empathy and support for our position. Our other days remain the same, for the time being. We hope to welcome you soon.

Well that's a wrap on the weekend and we are finally back and squared away. We had the privilege of providing the bar at Chawleigh Fair and loved every minute! Lots of hard work before, during and after the event but we'd definitely do it all over again. It was a shame about the weather but still well attended. Thank you to all who came and to those who helped make the day happen for us ( Steve Godly Stuart Gibson Sam Easton Maddy Godly Cate Godly Anne Cadle Richard Wilmott ), your help is very much appreciated. A fantastic day all round, perfectly run events and a village generously pulling together. Everyone involved should be truly proud of their efforts 👏🏆🏅

Just a polite reminder that we will be providing the Chawleigh Fair bar tomorrow and, as such, we will be closed at the pub during our normal hours. We will, of course, be open for the march in the morning and again once the field bar closes (aiming to open around 21:30). Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We will be open for roast dinner as usual on Sunday. Tables are going fast so be sure to book in with us if you plan on coming over. ,Many thanks, Ian & Justine
