Next Saturday 7th November is our table top sale!
Anyone who has booked a table can come in from 9.15 to set up, doors will then be open from 10am for people to come and have a look round. There are all kinds of things which will be being sold so all are welcome to come along and see what you can find. Teas and coffee can be purchased from 10 and the bar will be open from 11.
After all...one man's trash is another man's treasure 😉

We're going to try something people have been asking for...
On the first Saturday of November (7th) we are going to have a table top sale in the pub. Basically, we have upto 20 tables which we will hire out from 10am-12pm for just £5 each and you can bring and sell whatever you like on your table. Think of it like an indoor car boot sale. Whether it be old records, clothes, toiletries, homemade jams, plants or glasses. Whatever you want to sell legally from your table (apart from alcohol) is fine with us. Doors will be open to the public from 10 for a browse round and the bar will be open from 11am with teas and coffees available from 10am.

Even though it's only in middle of September and our Christmas menus have just been picked up from the printers, we are actually very nearly full on the second sitting, we have 1 table left. There is still availability on the first sitting. Please even though we know its early, please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

It means so much to us to know that people still choose us on occasions like this. In the last few weeks we have had 4 funerals, a wedding, functions from the scout hut handy men and the bowling club. We still have our 5 star health rating and still working as hard as possible to make your experience, whether it be for a few drinks, a quick snack or a 3 course meal as pleasurable as possible.

Listen i know its the 1st of September and no one wants to think about this yet but because of the repeat customers that have been to us in previous years our 3.00 sitting is already over half full. Please if you do want to come to us on Christmas day book as soon as you can, unfortunately I can not take booking without a deposit.
£72.50 per adult
£30.00 per child under 11.
We dont put a service charge on.

Everyone has obviously got the same idea on a rainy bank holiday weekend.
We're having an extremely busy day, hope you're all enjoying....no filters just fresh homemade food from scratch

P.s dont forget its not only Sundays you can have this...we serve roast dinners every day and they're one of our best sellers

I'd like to just take this opportunity to thank everyone who's used the farmers for food or drink. Its a hard trade with lots of choice out there now but since last December we've had our busiest year since pre covid.
As much as this is my pub, I pay the bills make the decision, run the business ect I couldn't do it without good staff who dont just treat it as a job they care, and I've always said customers make pubs as much as the landlady.
We dont try to be anything we're not We work hard and serve good b**r and freshly homemade food every single day.
The new menus are going so well.
The farmers will always be here with or without me, I know that but seeing people meet for a chat, having people want to celebrate birthdays or holding a funeral is a lovely feeling they've chosen us.
We've absolutely no plans of going anywhere for the foreseeable, we've been here over 13 years and that deserves massive credit to us and as long as you want us here we'll be here. If you dont see me as much please dont think I'm not as committed as always, I am i'll be just working out how to continue to adapt to making sure its the pub you want.

Its our sports day in dave banks memory on August 15th.
Same set up as usual 24 people max everyone is welcome yo enter or even just come and watch is the 1st names I get that will be tsking place so please let me know ASAP if you do want to join.
11.00 on the bowling green followed by darts and dominoes in the farmers.
Dave will always be thought of not just by Jill and his family but he'll always be missed chatting about Everton and the horse racing at the bar in the farmers.
