Bit of a different direction for our next meet: a book of essays. This one comes with a bit of a warning - be prepared to share some stories and experiences. To be honest, we know each other pretty well now so I’m really looking forward to learning even more about you all.

Really fun book chat today - all definitely agreed not to ever eat in Paris again 🤣🤣 And a great way to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. Special mention to Anna for the cake (please post photos below!)

Next book club will be Sunday 7th June at 1pm. We’ll be reading Echo Chamber which should bring up some good discussions about current affairs.

Good morning all, for those looking for some reading inspiration over these coming summer months, might I recommend anything by Kristin Hannah. I’ve read these four so far. All historical easy reads (although they may make you cry). They’re set in different countries; in different periods of history but all show the gritty real side to each hardship. You don’t have to know anything about that period of history as she makes you feel like you’re there living it with the characters. As always - Happy Reading ###

Another great meet with lots of talk about historical issues. Also great to say hello to our new reader!

Interesting club today. Our last two books have left us feeling a bit flat. We want something that doesn’t wrap up nicely in the end. Hopefully our next two meets will meet our requirements.

Our next meet will be Sunday March 29th at 1pm where we’ll be reviewing Trespasses by Louise Kennedy.

Our 2 year anniversary meet will be Sunday 19th April where we’ll be reviewing A waiter in Paris by Edward Chisholm.
