WEEK 8 ROUND UP! 🍻
Well, I'm going to start with a negative this week! 😂
BT Business, you are absolutely useless! 🤦♂️
A few hours of our lives that we'll never get back. Not a shred of sympathy or empathy for the fact that having a working phone line and broadband is absolutely critical to running our business.
Right, I've vented now. I'm okay. 😂 Moving on!
💨 A WINDY WEEK AND A FEW SPOOKY GOINGS-ON! 👻
This week has absolutely flown by, as did the wind! This old pub certainly makes some brilliant noises when the weather picks up. It has a character all of its own!
We're also starting to think we might have a ghost in residence. Lights being switched on when they've been turned off, and things mysteriously moving about! 👀
Either we've got a friendly little spirit knocking about, or Sarah has finally started to lose the plot! 😂 We'll let you decide!
❤️ OUR WONDERFUL LOCAL COMMUNITY
Despite the absolutely horrible weather, we welcomed our lovely local WI group, who came in for a game of skittles. It's always brilliant seeing the pub being used and enjoyed by our local community.
We've also welcomed lots of new faces through the door this week, which is fantastic! It's lovely meeting new people, having a chat and seeing more of you giving our food a try.
🫙 THE GREAT CONDIMENT DEBATE!
We ran a quick poll asking which condiments you'd prefer, and it was a close-run thing!
Heinz just managed to pip the competition to the post, but only just! It's a mighty close contest, and we're clearly dealing with some serious condiment enthusiasts here! 😂
We're also keen to try out Wiltshire Tracklements, another fantastic local company producing some excellent goodies.
Supporting local businesses and bringing great produce into the pub is something we'd really love to do more of.
🔥 AND FINALLY… THE LOG BURNER!
We know plenty of you are waiting for this one!
The log burner is waiting to be repaired, and that's due to happen soon. Admittedly, not soon enough for our liking! 😂 But it's a busy time of year for the people doing the work, so we'll have to be patient a little longer.
Because honestly, what's better than a proper pub, a cosy atmosphere and a roaring fire when it's cold and miserable outside?
We can't wait to get it going!

Week on week, we're getting busier, and we genuinely cannot thank you all enough for the support you've shown us.
Alex and Sarah took on The Peterborough Arms with a big dream: to create a comfy, traditional pub with a warm, friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
Seeing more people through the door, meeting new faces, welcoming back familiar ones and hearing your lovely feedback makes all the hard work worthwhile.
So please, keep spreading the word! Tell your friends, leave us a review, pop in for a drink or join us for a bite to eat.
