TIME AT THE BAR – THANK YOU!
Simon and Helen are calling time after nearly 23 years at The Jolly Huntsman. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years – we have made a lot of really great memories, have met wonderful guests and made some ever lasting friendships - we are now looking forward to making a different life for ourselves. Kington St Michael has become a real home to us and we have both enjoyed being part of the community here.
We were devastated to have to shut the bar and restaurant last year, continuing only with the B&B side of the business, but unfortunately health issues got in the way – life here is certainly not for the feint hearted as I found out to my cost and it is now time for us to move on to pastures new with Mouse and Widget.
We wish the new owners so much luck with their new venture and hope they will be made to feel as welcome in the village as we have. Their desire to continue the theme of being a traditional village inn is one which, we are sure, will be welcomed with open arms and they truly deserve the support of the village and further afield.
It’s been a blast and as you all slide down the banister of life, remember us as the splinters!
