Saying goodbye…this has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve had to take a step back and really look at my life, my health, and my future. The Saxon Inn has been an incredible journey, one that I will never forget. I’m proud of what’s been achieved here, and I feel truly fulfilled knowing how much you’ve all enjoyed what we created together. That has always made it worthwhile.
Some of you may be shocked by this news, and others perhaps not surprised. My recent diagnosis has made me stop, listen, and take advice from family, friends, and medical professionals. Rising costs have also added pressure, and after much reflection, I know I need to put my health first.
For the past three years, I’ve worried more about the pub than about myself and that has to change. I’m tired, and I simply can’t keep working the way I have been. I’ve given everything I could to The Saxon Inn, and now it’s time to rest and focus on what comes next.
Thank you - for your support, your laughter, and for being part of this chapter with me. I will miss you all more than words can say.
Our last day of trading is today, Sunday 2nd November, so if you have time to pop by I would love to say goodbye.
