We’ve had a horrible couple of weeks with the flooding in the cellar but everything is back up and running and we now need your support more than ever before.

Yes, we’ll eventually get a payment (not sure how substantial) to cover us being shut but in the meantime we are self employed which means we have to foot all the bills from our side (including those that still came through when we had zero income).

If you’re out over the weekend then please consider popping in for a drink or two to help us get back on our feet.

We appreciate any support and can’t wait to see you in the Ark (what a rubbish/ironic name for a pub during a flood) 🍺🍺

Arguably one of the yummiest wines we stock and to celebrate us opening back up we’re doing a bottle of this stuff for just £20 until it’s gone!

These might just look like two barrels of cask b**r to the untrained eye… but to us, they mean so much more. 🍺❤️

After hearing about the devastating flood that hit us, our friends at Stancill Brewery, Tom and the team, insisted on donating these b**rs to help us get back on our feet.

When you’ve been knocked down by something completely out of your control, gestures like this genuinely mean the world. We honestly can’t thank Stancill enough for their incredible generosity and support at a time when we really needed it.

We’re open today from 4:30pm, and these two b**rs will be pouring on the bar from tomorrow.

So, if you’re in, raise a glass with us to Tom and the whole team at Stancill Brewery. 🍻

WE’RE MAKING PROGRESS!

We’re pleased to say the insurers have now been out and have made a start on the big cleanup operation following the flooding.

Obviously, the recent downpour has resulted in a huge number of flood claims locally, so unfortunately things have taken a little longer than we’d hoped. We really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we get everything sorted.

The good news is that we’re aiming to be back open around the middle of next week! 🍺

There’s still plenty of work to do, but we’re finally moving in the right direction and can’t wait to welcome you all back.

Due to the downpour we’ve been flooded out, our cellar and all the adjoining cellars have been breached with sewer water so for environmental reasons we will be closed for the foreseeable future.

We will update everyone on here as soon as we know any more 🍺
