Nick Sargent, our Senior PGA Professional, provides a full golfing service of lessons and a fully stocked golf-shop

Golf is one of the health-focused activities promoted by Sport England so if you are thinking about trying golf for the first time we are pleased to be offering a series of free taster sessions during Spring and early Summer – see advertisement for details. If you are getting back into playing golf or are a current golfer looking for a new club to join why not take advantage of our innovative “Stairway to Golf” membership package. We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly club with active Junior, Men’s, Ladies and Seniors’ sections plus social activities including an art class, bridge club and facilities for other pastimes such as pool, darts and table tennis. Social memberships are available for non-golfers. We have excellent bar and catering facilities and “The Upton” restaurant is open to the general public – room and catering hire is also available for private functions. ⛳ Introducing the New Blue Course

Today our Seniors officially launched the new “Blue” Course at Upton-by-Chester Golf Club.

It is approximately 120 yards shorter than the existing layout, with five tees moved forward, helping to improve pace of play and make a number of holes more enjoyable for many golfers.

This project has been over 12 months in the making and is the brainchild of Dave Waterhouse, with fantastic support from Myles and the greenkeeping team, Keith and the Seniors Committee.

New scorecards featuring the Blue Course will be arriving soon. In the meantime, if you’d like to give it a try, check ‘My Rounds’ to see how many shots you receive from the new tees.

We look forward to seeing members enjoying this exciting addition to the course.

A reminder that our 12 troopers will be hitting the course tomorrow for the 72-hole challenge to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. Here is how they will be lining up ⛳️

This Friday 19th June, 12 of our members will be taking on the 72 Hole Challenge in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

With the first fourball expected to make its way back to the clubhouse at around 8:00pm, we'd love for as many members as possible to come down and give the players a well-deserved welcome and show your support.

From 7:30pm, there will be live music in the clubhouse, along with a raffle and some fantastic auction prizes, all helping us raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause.

So come down to the club on Friday, enjoy a great evening, and help us support a charity that makes a real difference. We look forward to seeing you there!

🌸⛳ A fantastic day for our Lady Captain’s Day! ⛳🌸

With the weather set fair, there was plenty of great golf, lots of smiles, and no shortage of enjoyment both during and after the round! 🥂

A huge congratulations to Lynne Kavanagh, who took the win with an excellent nett 70 👏🏆 And well done to all of our prize winners on the day.

Finally, a special thank you to our Lady Captain, Rose, for organising such a brilliant day. We know how much time and effort goes into making an occasion like this happen, and it’s safe to say everyone had a fantastic time. We hope you enjoyed it too!
