This is a proper old city of London boozer, only in Chester, that has a really good reputation for its food - it’s a great meeting place over a pub lunch, and at different times you’ll find half the commercial and professional heart of the city in there.

For one glorious week, our chefs are going full burger mode, serving up a line-up of specials, from towering stacks to scrumptious toppings and mouthwatering sauces.

Alongside a long list of burgers, we’ll be pouring a great selection of craft keg beers and, of course, your favourite cask ales 🍺🍔

It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our favourite pub dog, Ollie.
You’ll have found him stretched out under the tables like he paid rent, sneaking up to the bar for a cheeky biscuit, or letting out a timely howl just to remind you who really ran the place.
A better judge of character you’ll never meet, and a true regular in every sense.
The pub won’t be the same without him. 🍺🐾
