Only three more sleeps until the highlight of the 2016 social calendar......The Ox House's '70's themed (optional dress) NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY !!! featuring a 1970's DJ (that's a person playing recordings of populist ballads and gyratory rhythms from the period. WARNING: some of which tunes may have been performed using electrical instruments and gadgets to generate the melody rather than traditional "proper" instruments like the lute and harpsichord.) FURTHER WARNING to those of a faint disposition: Also a GLITTER BALL will be whirling round and round quite a bit. In addition, EXOTIC REFRESHMENTS showcasing a combination of foods from around the world will be available in the form of cheese and pineapple on a stick (while stocks last). In years to come many will talk of this heady night and children yet born (some of whom may actually be conceived as a result of this very party) will ask their parents what they did on New Year's Eve You can proudly say "I caught Disco Fever that night and learned how to strut my stuff. While February 18 is observed annually as National Drink Wine Day, it would be a shame to only celebrate one day a year. Perhaps this day is just a reminder to drink wine.

We are very sorry to advise that the party planned for Saturday 13th Feb "Tarts, Tramps and Toffs" is postponed until a later date. But don't be too disappointed, The Ox House will still be open as usual. Hooray !!

Only 10 more sleeps until our Valentine's Party (Saturday 13th Feb 8pm-Midnight) Hooray !! Tickets are only £5 per person and to get you in the mood for dancing and romancing they include a DJ and a glass of Prosecco. So come on all you Tarts, Tramps and Toffs it 's time to swing your pants and get luvved up. Please note that this is a ticketed event and The Ox House will be closed to non-ticket holders after 7.30pm.
