I believe the kids these days would call it a glow up, but what do we think of the new paint job?

Huge thanks to Richard for his wood work and painting which was then finished off by Jon with the superb sign writing .

This, with the new official outside seating, gives the place a lovely update. Plus with new beer coolers, fridges, glasswasher and air con means we're good on the inside too 👍

Afternoon

On Friday I’ll be starting the day in Maldon, a historic town well known for its maritime heritage, historic quayside and world-famous sea salt, before heading on to Chelmsford, famous for being the birthplace of radio thanks to pioneering work by Marconi and for its status as Essex’s only city.

I’ll be visiting a number of micropubs and pubs throughout the day to see what the area has to offer.
