At the end of last month, we gathered around the table at Patch in for a ‘Conversation Feast’, exploring as part of the Chelmsford Science Festival.

🥗 Over a seasonal feast by using ingredients sourced from , we brought together voices from across our community. From , , , and to grassroots organisers, the culture sector, Blocal and independent businesses like **es.

🤝 A huge thank you to local artist and regular event booker, Helen from for co-facilitating, for the generous funding that made this evening possible, and long standing member, Danielle Farrell from for capturing it so beautifully on film.

🌟 A big shout-out also to our Site Director and Community and Member Executive for bringing the vision to life with so much care and attention to detail.

👋 Meet Stuart Edmonds, founder and creative director of , a full-service marketing agency specialising in web development, creative design, digital marketing, and brand development.

🚀 Stuart began his business journey working solo from home before becoming a founding member with a single office at our first home in . Fast-forward several years, a few walls knocked through and a lot of growth later, and he’s built a fantastic team of 7, working with major organisations including M&S, Essex County Council and Shell.

🌱 Here Stuart sits down with our founder Freddie to reflect on their journey. He shares how having a high-quality space to bring clients in helped echo the quality of his brand, while being connected with an ambitious community of members led to collaboration and long-term client partnerships.

Last Thursday, we were delighted to host our friends at CyNam | Cyber Gloucestershire as part of their incredible Gloucestershire Tech Week line-up here at Patch in .

Headline sponsor and software development partner Zaizi, led the Artificial Intelligence Day that brought together brilliant minds from across industries, academia, and government to tackle national challenges head on.

From exploring the practical potential of AI and helping organisations build resilience, to finding new ways for regional start-ups and scale-ups to thrive, the room was packed with real momentum and collaborative energy.

Hosting full day events like this captures what Patch is all about 👉 providing open, inspiring spaces where diverse leaders and innovators can connect, share perspectives, and turn ideas into real world action.

Last night, it was brilliant to welcome so many of Bristol’s ambitious, entrepreneurial and creative community to Patch to see what we’ve been building.

The evening was a fantastic reflection of what we’re creating at Armada House: a place for the people shaping Bristol’s future to come together and spark new ideas.

It also reinforced why we were so excited to come to Bristol. The city’s independent spirit and entrepreneurial energy are something special, and we’re looking forward to becoming part of the community and support the people and businesses driving it forward.

A big thank you to Bristol wedding & event catering for the delicious spread and Bristol B**r Factory for keeping the glasses full, and to everyone who joined us for the evening.

What a way to kick off October at Patch in ! 💥

We loved filling our space with back-to-back celebrations of the people, music, and creative energy that make our coastal community so special.

We turned up the volume for the Arts by the Sea Festival Fringe festival with a 3-day takeover by Hearing Colours. Hand-built over 8 years, this bespoke analogue system brought crisp highs, deep bass, and our community together here at Patch. Huge congratulations to sound system builder and DJ Sam Edwards for bringing this unforgettable event to life, alongside all the other incredible DJs including sets from Rob da Bank.

Following, was the launch party of Pier Journal’s Volume 13 journal. We gathered to celebrate authentic local journalism, creative storytelling, and independent print culture across Dorset, fueled by delicious bites from CALABRESE KITCHEN DELI • BOURNEMOUTH. A massive shoutout to Pier Journal Director Laura K Williams and our very own Event Executive DonnaSmart77 for curating such a brilliant evening.
