Support for BIIRD will be provided by the incredible Fermanagh folk duo Laytha. Best known for their carefully crafted vocal harmonies, cousins Niamh and Philana have previously supported the likes of Martha Wainwright, workshopped with Laura Marling, and collaborated with fellow Irish artists Joshua Burnside and Ciaran Lavery on their gorgeous single "throat of the wind".

This will be a very special night, a chairde. We hope to see you there!

A firm festival favourite, Dubinski make their return to The Soma Festival this year, joining California Irish for what is sure to be a cracker of a dual headline gig.

Fierce, melodic, and unflinchingly honest, Dubinski stand at the forefront of Scotland’s next wave of alternative rock. Praised for their electrifying live shows and heartfelt songwriting, Dubinski combine jagged guitars, propulsive rhythms, and soaring vocal hooks with thoughtful, socially-aware lyricism.

We said farewell to a dear friend last week.

Christine Morgan was a wild woman.
She was forthright, passionate, unbowed. Her contribution to the arts was immense. A vital part of Soma from the very beginning, she was at the beating heart of countless other festivals, parades and hooleys up and down the country, working her magic alongside her love, Frankie. The arts community in south Down truly owes her a debt of gratitude for the amazing work she achieved over the years.

Christine loved music and she loved to dance; she left nothing unsaid on the dancefloor. Always the first to let the rhythm take her. Full of that fiery, wild, joyous energy she wielded so effortlessly. Dance as an act of resistance.

Our hearts shattered when we heard the news. We are devastated by her loss, but the memory of her presence lives on: that vivid, fierce, beautiful woman who moved to the rhythm of her own beat. We are incredibly grateful for having known and loved her. May we learn to emulate her.

Our hearts go out to Frankie, the Jones clan, and the Morgans ❤️❤️❤️
Grá go deo, Christine. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann.
