A Winding Up Order of the club was made on 23 July 2026, Andrew McGill and Chris Tate both of Azets, were appointed as Joint liquidators. The joint liquidator will contact you by post or email within the next two weeks. If you have not heard from them within the next two weeks and you believe you are a member of the club, then please contact one of the joint liquidator’s team by email, the team are [email protected], [email protected]. Otherwise, the joint liquidator would appreciate your patience whilst they deal with the initial formalities of their appointment

Members’ Notice

Members are notified that a winding-up petition dated 13 May 2026 has been presented to the High Court of Justice, Business and Property Courts in Birmingham, Insolvency and Companies List (ChD), in the matter of Castle Donington & District Sailors & Soldiers Club, case number CR-2026-BHM-000237

The petition has been presented by Jeremy Purkis, Darren Rose, Sally Roadley, Craig Scothern, Amanda Barton, Richard Fordham, Amanda Hiller and Robert Reed, in their capacity as Committee Members of the Club.

The petition is listed for hearing on Thursday 23 July 2026 at 10:15 am before the District Judge at the Business and Property Courts in Birmingham, Birmingham District Registry, Civil Justice Centre, Priory Courts, 33 Bull Street, Birmingham B4 6DS.

The Winding Up petition papers have more been lodged with the court. When this has been concluded the committee will discuss with the insolvency advisors a future course of action.
I do not have a time frame but how long this is likely to take though.
