We'll try that again shall we...
We wanted to clear the air regarding the previous post. To be transparent, the artwork nor the post were created by us. It was provided by the Vinyl Spin crew, who, to be fair, are just a couple of older legends who love music and wanted to share their passion. This isn't their job, it's a just a hobby.
They used AI tools without realising the impact it has on the creative community. They simply haven't been questioned on it before and didn’t know any better, they certainly didn’t mean any harm.
In hindsight, we should have flagged it with them as soon as we saw the post. However, we just wanted to support a couple of guys who love vinyl, and at the end of the day, managing outside event posters isn't usually our job.
While we appreciate how much you value original art, seeing the heavy handed response in the comments and DMs was a little disheartening. We’re big believers in bridging the gap and educating rather than tearing people down.
So, we’ve handed the reins to our ever amazing resident artist to create this orginal beauty! Now let’s get back to what matters....community and some good tunes. Peace and love baby ✌🏼
