We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your amazing opinions and suggestions about the wines. 🍷 We think we’ve got a good idea of the direction we’re heading in, and we’re really excited!

Yesterday we've had an amazing afternoon sampling some wines that could potentially make their way onto our wine list.

Because who doesn’t love a lovely glass of wine — whether it’s perfectly paired with a delicious meal or simply enjoyed on its own? 🍇✨

🍻 The Pub That Refused To Spellcheck Itself! 🍻

Did you know that Carlton’s famous Odddfellows Arms got its name thanks to a signwriter’s mistake? 😆

Back in the 1980s, a painter accidentally added an extra “d”, turning Oddfellows Arms into Odddfellows Arms. Oops!

When the brewery tried to fix the error in 1994, the locals weren’t having it. The village had grown so fond of the quirky sign that they protested until the brewery gave up and kept the extra letter 🤣

The pub itself has a much longer history, having started life as the Red Lion before becoming the Odddfellows Arms in the 1850s.

So next time you’re passing through Carlton, remember: that extra “d” isn’t a typo anymore, it’s local heritage! 🍺

Proof that sometimes mistakes are worth keeping… especially after a few pints! 😉

We are really excited to be starting a new adventure as we reopen The Oddd Fellow Arms in Carlton.

As a small family run business, our aim is simple…

To create a place where everyone feels welcome! Whether you’re joining us for a freshly prepared meal, catching up with friends over a drink or popping in with your four legged companion 🍔🍻🐶

Here’s what you can expect from us:
