A huge thanks to everyone who braved this weekend and kept us going ! We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting us so far over the last 2 months of Gibbys ! We were heading into the unknown with what we wanted to do and by how busy it’s been we really feel like we have found something new and refreshing for Carlisle so thank you 🙏

Beaujolais Nouveau arrives on Thursday 19th November, and this year we’ve chosen an organic Beaujolais Nouveau, supplied by our friends at Grapevine W**e Service .

Fresh, fruity and wonderfully easy to drink, it’s a lovely w**e to enjoy with good cheese and charcuterie.

To celebrate, we’re offering our Gibby’s Platter, with three cheeses, three charcuterie and two 125ml glasses of organic Beaujolais Nouveau for £50

Here’s an update on how Matt & Harry are getting on in the Race Across Europe raising money for Eden Valley Hospice & Jigsaw Children’s Hospice, two incredible organisations that provide vital support and care for families who need them the most. ❤️

They are doing incredible and we are so proud of them and all they’ve achieved so far, we are routing for you both.

A HUGE GOOD LUCK TO MATT & HARRY ❤️

If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that tomorrow morning Matt and Harry (from The Old Bank) are setting off on one hell of an adventure as they take on Racing Across Europe, all in aid of the incredible Eden Valley Hospice & jigsawchildrenshospice

From all of us here at Gibbys, we just wanted to wish them both the absolute best of luck. 🫶✨

This one means a lot. Eden Valley Hospice is a place that holds a very special place in Matt’s heart and his family, so we know just how much this challenge means to him personally. And Harry is right there alongside him, ready to take on whatever gets thrown their way. ❤️

We know there’s going to be plenty of tired legs, questionable directions, probably a few arguments over where they’re going and hopefully a lot of laughs along the way 😂

They’ve already raised an incredible amount, but there’s still time to get behind them and support such an important cause.

We honestly can’t thank you all enough for the incredible support over the last few weeks since opening Gibbys. ❤️ Every visit, booking, recommendation and kind word has meant the absolute world to us!

This week we’ve made a few little tweaks and additions to our small plates & picky bits section, giving you even more choice and variation when it comes to building your perfect spread. 🍽️

We’re also adding some new meats to our charcuterie, sourced from the fantastic Eden Valley Smokehouse , as well as introducing a brand-new fish platter! 🐟🧀🥩

What a weekend! 🥹❤️
We’re still reeling from our FIRST WEEKEND OPEN! 🎉

The team did amazingly well finding their feet — although I think we’ve all realised just how many times you can run up and down those stairs… time after time after time! 😂🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We honestly couldn’t be happier with how the weekend went, and we can’t thank every single one of you enough for coming through our doors, supporting us and making our first weekend so special. ❤️
