Afternoon everyone.
Following on from the first committee meeting it is obvious the social club cannot carry on the way it is,there has been no price increases since last April on the drink side so unfortunately it all will have to increase the new bar prices and the date of the rise will be advertised.
Although on the bright side and in an effort for it to get more use the function room prices have been reduced.
The new charges are as follows
Members if the the room is hired and the bar is required for more than forty people they will be no charge,non members a basic cover charge of £20.00,so it makes sense to join as a member for £15.00 and save a fiver.If the room is required for anything else and there is no bar required the charge will be £25.00 to cover the cost of cleaning and electric.
The committee really looks forward to any suggestions any one may have reference raising funds for the club and anyone thinking of joining the club please do as everyone is welcome.

Last nights meeting was a bit of an eye opener for most people,as the club won’t survive without the support from all the members.A committee has been formed and the first meeting will be by the end of the month,anyone who never made the meeting if you would like to be part of the committee please mention it here or contact Jodie or Scamp and they will pass your name on,and the more the merrier.Jodie has agreed in principle to take over the day to day running of the club as long as she has the backing of the committee.Finally I need to give a great big shoutout to Davey O who without his unpaid hours of work for this club it would of been shut long ago,and we are so pleased that Dave has decided to stay on as a committee member to help with the transition over to Jodie.
Thank you to each and everyone who turned up last night,let’s hope we can continue as the closing of the social club would be a sad day for Longtown.Please push our facilities and let everyone know they can hire the function room at only £60.00 for members for a full night.We have snooker,darts,dominoes,poker and a leek club/golf club and Darts every Monday.
