Jazz at the Flute and Tankard Live Jazz on Tuesday and Wednesday upstairs . Groups range from Jazz Students to well established bands expect to be surprised. Starts 8.30pm finishes 11.00pm.

Entrance fee £10/£6. All money goes to the band on the night.

The London-based, internationally renowned guitarist and composer Ant Law, described as “scarily proficient” by Jazzwise magazine and one of the leading new generation of UK jazz and creative musicians, teams up with pianist/composer John Law (no relation!),“one of the UK’s most imaginative and versatile jazz pianists” (International Piano Magazine) to present: The Laws of (E)Motion. Performing a new suite by John, exploring interweaving lines, pulsing rhythms and subtle harmonies, plus other original music by both of them, the duo creates chamber music both intricate and simple, exploring textures, colour, and space and with plenty of rhythmic energy! A new project featuring compositions from award winning composer Gareth Roberts . New Orleans meets Wales with an exciting sound blending funk/ jazz /Street sounds , a small band with a big presence

Wednesday 28th January - QOW trio - On a tour to support the new album by QOW TRIO - celebrating drum legend Spike Wells' amazing 60 year career in UK jazz including many years with Ronnie Scott, Tubby Hayes and Bobby Wellins among many many others - also featuring Riley Stone Lonergan on tenor saxophone.and Eddie Myer on bass This will be our third record, out on Whirlwind Recordings. Our last album 'The Hold Up' was described as 'A stunning achievement' by the BBC Music Magazine and our debut was given Four Stars in The Scotsman an The Times!
