Who doesn’t love a good pie?! Head Chef Jamie certainly does, and he’s always working on new ones to feature on our specials board, alongside our two mainstays: steak & ale and cheddar, potato & leek.

And this time of year brings plenty of those days that just call for a warming, flaky, hearty pie. You know the ones.

Our charity quiz on September 25th in support of our neighbours is fast approaching, and we’ve still got a few tables left for those who love a good quiz! 🧠

It might be September outside, but we’ve been getting our Christmas hats on at The Granville... 🎄

The Christmas menu is done, the first festive bookings are going in the diary, and we’re already looking forward to that time of year when the pub is full of Christmas get-togethers, long lunches and tables of people who haven’t all been in the same room since last Christmas.

Our festive menu will be available from 21st Nov to 30th Dec, with two courses for £32 or three for £38.

There are few things Head Chef Jamie enjoys making more than a proper homemade pie, so they’re a fairly regular sight on our specials board.

Golden pastry, generous filling, buttery mash and, obviously, a good helping of gravy.

We fully support Jamie’s pie obsession. This one pictured here (swipe 👉 ) was chicken, leek & wholegrain mustard earlier in the week.

Sundays should be spent like this all year round, in our opinion anyway. That’s why our roasts with all the trimmings are always on the Sunday menu!

Find yourself a shady spot in the garden or come inside where it’s nice and cool. We serve food ALL DAY on a Sunday (and every day fact!) so enjoy your roast whenever suits you 🍽
