With this year's wedding season coming to an end, I am now working on bookings for 2026. I am making some changes to the way I work next year, in so much that I have found it necessary to introduce minimum spends of £1,500.00 on all bars. This figure should be easily achievable for the average wedding but if you have any reservations, just drop me a line and I will see what I can do for you.

Sadly, prices will have to go up next year but these are being kept to a minimum and our range of drinks is unrivalled locally.

What a week! I need to say a huge thank you to all the team members who worked so hard to deliver a superb bar experience to the 1100 guests we served last week. A school prom on the Thursday evening, another school prom on the Friday evening, followed by two weddings and a corporate summer party on the Saturday night. Shout out to Amanda, Amelie, Becky, Chloe,Elliot, Emily, Esther, Felix, Francesca, Grace, Jess, Katie, Korben, Lucy, Ryan, Theo & Zac.

All set up for Eyemaster’s Birthday celebration in Pett this afternoon. Expecting 170 guests of all ages, who are being treated to an open bar, pizzas, Jazz band, magician by the name of Stuart Weller and Danny the Idiot? Apparently he does tricks with balloons, so we will wait and see.

It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day. If you are thinking of a corporate event, perhaps a family day for your hard working team or perhaps a evening of partying to say thank you to your staff, drop me a line and let’s have a conversation.

Today I received an updated price list from my main wine supplier, following recent changes by the treasury. Some wines have increased by 15%, but Neptune Bars will absorb all price increases for any bookings in 2025. Sadly, next year, they will have to be reviewed. Needless to say, I will continue to ensure a great range of wines are available to my client's, in various price points, with bottles from £24.00 to £250 for real gems.

So I am looking for new staff to work on the bars this season. Bookings are coming in and it looks as though the summer is going to be busy.

I need reliable, articulate people who understand the need to be flexible and follow my principles of great customer service. Hourly rates start from £15 and this year, I am bringing in bonus payments on all bars. It really annoys me when venues and other suppliers ramp up their prices when providing goods and services for weddings. Why do they feel the need to do this? My drinks cost me the same to buy whoever I am serving - it is pure greed on the part of the supplier.

I am looking at taking an industrial unit on to expand Neptune Bars but I will only really need to utilise the ground floor for the first 18 months or so, so I am asking my connections on Facebook if there is anyone you might know who would be interested on taking a 1000 sq Feet Mezzanine floor in a new unit in Manston? The space would be suitable for meetings, temporary office space or storage and would be between £800 - £1000.00 per month.Message me if interested. Thanks.
