Wine is one of the oldest beverages known to mankind. Just like us humans, it has evolved and grown throughout History. Today, wine is not appreciated at its just value, because its enjoyment requires a certain set of skills that need to be acquired. It is cheaper to be fooled (and especially as a student) by bottles of lower quality that fail to deliver the true essence of wine. We, as the Wine S

ociety, aim to guide UKC's wandering wine enthusiasts and curious students in the realm of Bacchus. We will educate our members on the joys of wine tasting, giving them the abilty to recognize and distinguish aromas, flavours and other bouquets. Which will allow them to truly enjoy the grapy beverage. In our regular sessions, we will give you the abilty to get a grasp on wine theory and put it into practice through our selection of typical wines and millesimes. After short lectures on specific aspects of tasting, members will be given the opportunity to appreciate products illustrating these aspects.
