Brewing is still going strong, we've recently brewed our first lager (!) which is in the fermenter now. Will take approximately five weeks to get through the longer fermentation process at low temperature, but should be ready just in time for the first Spring barbecues!

Another all-new recipe today: Wicken Black Smoke IPA. A proper IPA, 6.5% with a bucket loads of hops, but with Carafa Special 3 and roasted barley making it pitch-black in colour, and some Bavarian Rauch Malt for a hint of smoke flavour.

Should be pretty awesome!

Honey Ale is almost done, tastes absolutely amazing. Can't wait to bottle it.

Today we're working with some wonderful local honey courtesy of Mr Kieran Mansley, bee keeper extraordinaire.

We've designed a new beer recipe especially for the task, fingers crossed for the first batch of Wicken Honey Ale!
