We're in it! The **rGuide 2027 is available from today, recognising pubs which stock great cask b**rs in great condition - including the Elm Tree.
Currently we've got Rudgate Chocolate Stout as the dark guest, new to the Elm and deliciously chocolatey without excessive sweetness. We've got a Crouch Vale Amarillo on the way, strong and hoppy, always a favorite, and we've always got Wells' new bitter, Double Star, a traditional malty bitter at a sessionable strength of 3.4%. Something for everyone!

October's live music line-up at the Elm Tree. Every Sunday, an early evening gig, free entry.

This month we've got a band new to the Elm: Fenland B***y are bringing some modern country for your listening pleasure. At the end of the month I'm particularly looking forward to Freddie Hall, returning to Cambridge to treat us to his amazing voice.

Sadly, there is no Halloween story-telling this year. I hope it will be possible to welcome Cliff the The Travelling Talesman in future, but this year we'll have to be spooky without one of his wonderful folklore events. I've bought a plastic bat. Woo.

Belgian National Day is nearly here! It's Tuesday 21st July, and we've got some very special additions to our usual range. Here are the new ones, from left to right:

Troubadour Magma - Belgian take on American style IPA
Viven IPA - dry, hoppy, orange-peel bitterness
Viven Smoked Porter - rich dry and smoky
Cantillon Oude Gueuze - Amazing, famous sour b**r
Rodenbach Alexander - Flemish red with cherries
Timmermans Framboise - Sweet raspberry fruit b**r
Blanche de Namur - lovely, soft, hazy wheat b**r

It's only three weeks 'til Belgian National Day! We're celebrating with 50p off every Belgian bottled b**r on that day - Tuesday 21st July.
