The Waggon and Horses is looking for a new Landlord!
Elgood & Sons Ltd has an amazing opportunity for the right person/people. This stunning pub has lots of character and a huge following of people who are missing their local pub!
As the landlord I have run the establishment as a classic locals pub with poker nights, food trucks and music nights too.

The property is up for rent but also comes with 4 bedrooms above, a very large fitted kitchen, and planning permission for 3 letting rooms in the garden.

I sadly had to close the pub to pursue a new career and direction after 5 years here.

It is with great sadness we are to announce that New Years Day will be our last working day 😢

We will be OPEN throughout Christmas and New Years Eve!! I have attached a photo with our opening hours for the next 2 weeks!🎅🎄

We hope you will all come in and join us in a farewell drink over Christmas & on New Years Day🥂

I want to take this time to thank all the customers who have supported not just George when he took over 5 years ago but me this last year and throughout covid, you are so much more than a “punter” to me, you are part of My Waggon family and it breaks my heart it has come to this! 😢

From Monday raffle nights, to Wednesday poker games, endless food trucks and our crazy weekends we’ve had, I have memories that will last forever. Strangers who have turned into life time friends and a pub that I now call home.

The Waggon meant and still does mean so much to me and I’m sure a lot of you and I just want to make the next two weeks the best they possibly can be!🥲

Thank you to all the team who have helped us over the years! You guys mean the world to me!
