Exactly 6 years apart to the day, we opened on the 31st March 2018 and closing our doors 31 March 2024.

Our last ever Carvery today .. so proud of Phillip Edwards these last 6 years cooking the carvery all on his own every week for 90 plus and making our Sundays what they are today .. He puts 100% into it every weekend and I know he will miss his Sunday customers more than anything .

It is with deep regret that we are having to shut the doors here in The Unicorn on Easter Sunday night .
Like everyone in the hospitality industry, we have been hit very hard by escalating costs eg heating . lighting , Gas and soaring food costs and Brewery costs . Many of them are doubling, trebling and quadrupling and the margin is no longer there. - we feel this is the time for us to leave , sadly and the decision has not been taken lightly. We are so sorry to all of our many wonderful and loyal customers who we will miss more than anything .
If you have any vouchers please come and use them .
Easter Sunday night we are having local band ANYTHING GOES.playing from 9 pm and Karoke to follow for all you good singers out there .. It will be a long , sad night especially for us .
We will be sad for our lovely staff who some have been with us many years .
