“We’ve stayed at The Bridge Hotel in Buttermere several times now, and there’s a very good reason we keep coming back. It really is one of our favourite places to escape to. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. A special mention has to go to Ray, who is absolutely fantastic — warm, helpful and genuinely interested in making sure guests have a lovely stay. He’s a real asset to the hotel. Our room was excellent: comfortable, spotlessly clean and the perfect place to relax after a day out walking. And then, of course, there are those views! It’s difficult to imagine a more beautiful setting. Being surrounded by the Buttermere fells and waking up to that scenery really does make you feel completely spoiled. The whole hotel has such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Lovely food, great service, comfortable surroundings and one of the most stunning locations in the Lake District — what more could you ask for? Another fabulous stay and, as always, we left wishing we could stay longer. We’ll definitely be back!”
