Good morning, everyone.
I’m afraid I have some difficult news to share.
After just over a year, filled with incredible highs and challenging lows, we have made the heartbreaking decision to close our doors. During our time here, we have made some truly amazing friends and sadly lost some wonderful people whom we will always hold dear in our hearts. We have learned many valuable lessons along the way and created memories that we will never forget.
Unfortunately, a number of contributing factors—which will be kept private- including the significant rise in operating costs—have made it impossible for us to continue. For legal reasons, we are unable to disclose further details at this time, so we kindly ask that you show understanding towards the staff, as they are losing their jobs but also their home.
We have done everything within our power to fight for this pub. As they always say, you never know what goes on behind closed doors.
As many of you know, it means a great deal to all of us, and we have given it our very hearts. We only received confirmation yesterday, which is why we are informing you now. We will be taking the coming week to organise everything and make the necessary arrangements.
To those with existing bookings, we are truly sorry that we will no longer be able to accommodate them. Any deposits paid will be refunded. However, we will be passing all bookings on to the new owners in the hope that they will be able to honour them.
All we can say is that we gave this everything we had. Our hearts are broken that this chapter has come to an end, but we are deeply grateful to every customer, friend and member of staff who supported us along the way.
