Update from the wheel -

Following on from our previous post, we wanted to give you a bit more insight into what’s been happening behind the scenes.

After closing our doors to address some serious safety issues, it turned out there were three gas leaks throughout the premises. Thankfully, those have now been resolved. However, we’re currently facing further challenges, the electrical systems in the kitchen need significant work before we can operate safely and efficiently. These were issues that were not evident at first glance. Unfortunately this has been a bit of a battle that is still to be won.

We know it might sound like a list of excuses, but the reality is that reopening right now simply isn’t viable. We wouldn’t be giving the pub the fighting chance it deserves heading into the coming months.

So for the time being, all operations remain on hold here at The Wheel. We truly hope that one day we’ll be able to reopen and do things properly, the way they should be done.

🚨 Important Update from The Wheel 🚨

Some of you may have already heard that we’ve run into a few unexpected obstacles on our journey here at The Wheel. For everyone’s safety, we’ve had to temporarily close the business after discovering gas leaks and significant electrical failures in the kitchen.

But don’t worry – we’re already on it! We’re working hard behind the scenes and awaiting the involvement of the responsible parties to get these vital works completed.

We’ll be back as soon as it’s safe to do so 💪✨
And yes… we’ll also be announcing a new date for the Jam very soon! 🎶and perhaps a few other things..

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸! 🍾
We just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has made it so welcoming. We had a wonderful opening night and have enjoyed seeing so many new and old faces throughout the week!

Those of you who have popped in may know already but to begin with here are a few things we have planned:

• 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 -𝗝𝗮𝗺 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁! Starting from 7.30pm - a night of musical antics where everyone is welcome. Musicians and audience alike 🎻🎵🎶.

• 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗭𝗭𝗭 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧💡🤓📝 - from 7.30pm onwards - teams of up to 6 - £2 pp - Booking advised 🤓 come get quizzical.

• 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱: Going forward we aim to launch our kitchen/menu Early September! Bringing you Sunday roasts and a varied main menu with plenty to choose from for all 🤗.

• 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀: Whilst we continue renovations and work on a little something we have planned, we are reintroducing a pool table and gaming machines that are currently on their way to their destination at the wheel! So keep your eyes peeled and we will be sure to let you know once they arrive. 🎱

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲:
Today 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 we will be closed for Maintenance.
However below are our opening times going forward 😊
