Festive Updates 🎄

​A massive thank you to everyone for your incredible support! Our upcoming festive calendar is filling up faster than we could have ever hoped.
​Here is where things currently stand so you are fully in the loop:

​Wednesday, 2nd December – Wreath Making Class: FULLY BOOKED!
(Don't worry, we still have a few spaces left for our second class on Thursday, 3rd December if you'd still like to join!)

​Sunday, 6th December – Christmas Market: STALLS FULLY BOOKED! We are officially at full capacity with 23 amazing stalls lined up. It’s going to be a fantastic day!

​Wednesday, 9th December – Christmas W**e & Food Night: FULLY BOOKED!
(Good news if you missed out—a second date is now available on Wednesday, 25th November to kick off the season as the pub gets all decorated! Keep an eye out for a separate post coming soon to book your spot for that one).

Riddle me this: When Halloween comes and the dark timbers groan, in a 16th-century haunted pub are you ever alone? Tucked deep in Aspenden, where shadows creep low, The Fox welcomes you in terror—now where will you go?

​Join us this October 31st for the ultimate adults-only Halloween bash at The Fox!

Time : 7pm till spooky hour 🕷

​We’re turning our ancient country pub into a spine-chilling sanctuary filled with wicked decor, incredible music, and our legendary late-night sing-songs and dancing. Fuel the terror with ice-cold beers, killer cocktails, and complimentary picky bits scattered around the pub.

​Fancy Dress: Highly encouraged! Enter our best-dressed competition for great prizes (or come as you are—no pressure).

🎃 Children’s Outdoor Pumpkin Patch at The Fox Pub, Aspenden! 🎃

​Join us for some lovely family autumn fun on October 29th or 30th from 12:00 PM onwards! Our pumpkin patch is held out in the garden and is fully undercover. Because it's an outdoor event, please make sure the little ones put on their coats, pop on their wellies, and wrap up warm—rain or shine, it's going to be a great day!

​For just £5 per child, they can:
🎃 Dress up in their favorite spooky or lovely outfits (with cozy layers underneath!).
🎃 Choose their very own pumpkin.
🎃 Sit down and carve it right there with everything they need provided.
🏡 Take their wonderful creation home with them!

​Hungry or thirsty? Our food hut will be serving up jacket potatoes, hot dogs, toasted sandwiches, hot chocolate, warm soup, and fresh coffee. For the grown-ups, the pub will be open as usual, so you can pop in and enjoy all your normal pub drinks while the kids get creative! 🍻🍷

​⚠️ Booking is essential and is by time slot starting from 12:00 PM. Please call or message us directly to book your slot.

🎄 Calling All Stall Holders! 🎄

​We’ve had a fantastic response so far for our Christmas Market at The Fox Pub, Aspenden, on Sunday, December 6th (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM), and we’re still looking for more stalls to join us!

​✨ Event Details:
​Date: Sunday, December 6th
​Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
​Location: The Fox Pub, Aspenden

​There is no charge for the stall itself. We just take a £20 booking deposit to hold your place and ensure everyone shows up, which is fully refundable when you arrive on the day! Plus, to keep you fueled during morning setup, every stall holder gets a free cup of tea or coffee and a bacon,sausage or ,egg roll

Chimney sweep is booked for next Tuesday morning! 🧹🔥

​We are getting our beloved open log fire ready, and honestly, we just can’t wait to get her back lit. She is the absolute heart and soul of The Fox Pub.

​There is nothing quite like that smell and the way everyone naturally gathers round her. Last year, we lit her for the first time right here in September and didn’t turn her off until March—burning wood every single day without a miss.

What an incredible day and night at the Fox Pub celebrating Ali Fest for her 60th! With stunning festival decor, everyone dressed to impress, the vintage van Spritz bar out front, the glitter station, and the DJ keeping everyone dancing, it was an unforgettable celebration (and thankfully the rain stayed away!).

🎄 Calling All Stallholders! Christmas Market at The Fox Pub, Aspenden 🎄

​Get into the festive spirit and showcase your crafts, gifts, and treats at our upcoming Christmas Market right here in Aspenden (just down the road from Buntingford)! We are calling out for all crafters and local traders to join us at our cozy little country pub for a fantastic day of Christmas shopping.

​Date: Sunday, December 6th
​Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
​Location: The Fox Pub, Aspenden (near Buntingford)

​✨ What to Expect on the Day
​Festive Atmosphere: The Christmas tree will be fully alight and holiday music will be playing throughout the market.

​Warm Comforts: Not forgetting, if you need a little minute out from your stall, there's a cozy warm fire inside that you can go and stand next to to warm up!

​A Warm Welcome: As a huge thank you for turning up, every stallholder receives a free bacon roll and a hot cup of tea or coffee on us.

​📋 Pitch Details & Booking
​100% Free Pitch Fee: There is no charge for your stall! All you need to bring is your own gazebo and table for your setup.

​Refundable Deposit: While the space is free, we do take a small refundable deposit upon booking to prevent last-minute no-shows (which are tricky to manage once everything is organized). Your deposit is returned to you in full as soon as you turn up on the day!

Just a quick heads-up to everyone—we’ve had quite a few messages and calls today asking about Christmas Day availability at The Fox Pub.
​While we love the enthusiasm, we have actually been fully booked for the last two months, having snapped up all our Christmas Day tables super early!
​To anyone we unfortunately couldn’t squeeze in for the big day itself, we are so sorry. However, the festive celebrations don't stop there! Keep an eye on our page because we’ll be serving up lots of lovely Christmas roasts all throughout the month of December.
