βΌοΈIMPORTANT ISSUE WE NEED TO ADDRESSβΌοΈ
This is a long post, but an important one, so please take a moment to read.
Unfortunately, we need to address an issue regarding the care and respect of our pool table.
Our pool table was only re-clothed just over a month ago, and in that short time it has suffered not one, but TWO rips to the cloth. We are extremely disappointed that equipment provided for everyone to enjoy is not being treated with the care and respect it deserves.
While we are aware of who caused the first rip, we cannot be certain who caused the second. Sadly, the damage has now reached the point where our pool team were unable to play their scheduled league match this Monday because the table was not in a suitable condition. They will now have the inconvenience of rearranging the fixture once we have paid out yet again for a replacement cloth.
As a result, we will be making some changes to how the pool table operates moving forward:
β’ A deposit must be left behind the bar to receive the white ball and pool cue.
β’ On completion of games, the table will be checked before deposits are returned.
β’ Strictly no under 12s allowed to play on the table.
We know the vast majority of customers use the table responsibly, and we thank those who do. However, we simply cannot continue absorbing the cost of avoidable damage. Not only does it impact us financially, but it also affects our pool team and other customers who enjoy using the facilities.
We hope everyone understands why these changes are necessary and will help us protect the table for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
