Every day we see the passion and dedication from our team to bring our vision to life - creating a place our guests truly love to eat and drink.

We never set out chasing awards, so when we see our name appear up in lights at a ceremony, it genuinely means the world.

Last night was one of those moments.

Pete Jackson was crowned Pub Restaurant Chef of the Year at Craft Guild of Chefs - the chefs’ Oscars, and an evening attended by more than 700 of the very best chefs in the country.

To see our Head Chef up on that stage, recognised among such incredible talent, made us unbelievably proud.

Moments like this remind us how special our team are, and how lucky we are to have them.

The weather might be doing its own thing, but we’re not waiting for sunshine - summer has officially launched.

Our new menu is full of dishes we enjoy eating, pub classics done right.

Red pepper and tomato soup, grilled sardines, sticky pork belly, padron peppers, Cornish lamb, Loch duart salmon Caesar, beef short rib, lemon sole, the steak and frites you loved throughout spring has made its way on the menu - and then there’s all the new puds too.

The weather might be doing its own thing, but we’re not waiting for sunshine - summer has officially launched.

📣 We have a very important announcement to make.

Yesterday was a very big day.

After 2 long happy years, we said goodbye to our sticky toffee pudding to make space for the new kid on the block.

This is Pete Jackson’s take on the classic Victoria sponge.

Fluffy and moist sponge with golden syrup, strawberry jam and clotted cream ice cream. Finished with a sprinkle of hundreds and thousands, and once we’ve got enough, served in the famous green tin!

Honestly, it’s as good, in fact we think it’s better. So don’t worry if you don’t see sticky on the menu, give this one a try and let us know your thoughts…

Now our birthday celebrations are out the way, it’s time to plan the next big event… and there’s so much going on.

Fish Friday is back - every week from 5pm - this week there’s Thai fishcake to start, shrimp burger and Scottish hake for mains.

Next week our summer menu lands - and we’ve still got a few spaces for wine and cheese on Thursday 4th June. Six wines, with our suppliers battling to be crowned the winner. £45pp - book online or drop us a DM.

Don’t forget Father’s Day on Sunday 21st June. Then our second supper club is on Thursday 16th July and pop Saturday 1st August in your diary for our garden party.

There’s tapas on the terrace on Thursday 27th August and then there’s talks of a bank holiday collab on Monday 31st August. Watch this space 👀

This, and a long weekend at the pub…

Fish Friday goes alfresco – the weather’s so good we could be near the Med. Seafood Rigatoni, Salmon Caesar Salad, and a crisp glass of rosé… perfect.

There’s still a couple of tables on Saturday lunch for our 2nd birthday bash, and you can’t beat a Sunday roast at ours.

Monday is roast rollover, and as missing curry club, he’s putting a Masala Chicken Burger on the specials.

Book a table inside or out, or play the spontaneous card and just come down. We’d love to see the garden full all weekend.
