Today we say goodbye to one of our own… 💙

Sienna joined us at just 16 years old, taking her very first steps into the hospitality industry. Over the years, she’s grown so much, learning the ropes from one of our own legends, Lucy, and becoming a valued member of The Nailers Arms family.

Watching your confidence, skills and character develop has been a pleasure, and while we’re sad to see you go, we couldn’t be prouder that you’re moving on to the next stage of your hospitality journey.

We wish you nothing but success in everything you do. Your new gaffers are incredibly lucky to have you – although we’re sure they already know that! Keep working hard, keep being yourself, and you’ll go far.

Thank you for all your hard work, your laughs, and for being part of our team. You’ll always be welcome back through our doors, whether it’s for a visit, a roast, or just a catch-up.

TripAdvisor really is a bit like Marmite for those of us in hospitality… you either love it or hate it! 😂

Every single week, not just us but hospitality venues all over the country welcome hundreds of genuinely lovely people through our doors. People who laugh, celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, family meals and make our jobs worthwhile.

Unfortunately, it’s often the 1% that gets the most attention. Of course, sometimes genuine issues happen, and when they do we’re always happy to listen, learn and put things right. But all too often, people won’t mention a thing while they’re here, only to head home and leave a review that doesn’t reflect the experience we believed we’d given. That’s the difficult side of this industry.

That said… this week I took a proper look through our recent TripAdvisor reviews, and all I can say is thank you.

To the 99% of you who have taken a few minutes out of your day to leave such kind words about the team, it genuinely means more than you probably realise.

Yes, great reviews help future customers decide where to visit, but for us they’re so much more than that. They’re the smile at the end of an incredibly long shift. They’re the “well done, guys” that reminds the team why they do what they do.

After working through busy Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays while friends and family are out enjoying their weekends, those few kind words really do make all the hard work feel worthwhile. There’s no denying hospitality can be tough, but that feeling when someone appreciates your efforts is hard to beat.

So, from all of us at The Nailers Arms… thank you for your support, your patience, your laughter, and your kind words. We really do read them all, and they never go unnoticed.

Anyway… that’s my TripAdvisor rant over! 😂

From Monday 20th July, the final stage of our men’s toilet refurbishment will be taking place.

During the work, the men’s toilets will be temporarily closed. However, our accessible toilet will be available for use by our male customers throughout the day.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience while we complete the final improvements. We’re looking forward to unveiling the finished result and continuing to improve your experience with us.
