Happy days! One from early on Sunday. Everyone tasting, learning and getting to know the drinks they try, and one other. Big up to the wife of the gentleman I met there on his own - you had bought him a ticket as a surprise gift whilst you looked after their children. In our books that’s a great surprise gift! 👍 He told me he had had a super time - next time I hope we might see you here together! 📷

Just a couple of days until we are back on Sunday with something a little different this time! We are so looking forward to welcoming all those joining us. Rosie has chosen which cheese plate guests will be given, the wine has arrived, and after the rain last night the sun is set to shine! Some spots left for the 12-2 slot for those after a ticket - others sold out!

A couple of weeks ago the hardest thing I had to do for a few days was decide which wine to drink next. It was heavenly. We took these to Modica with us from Filippo. That’s a 2010 Rosso which was so deliciously herbal it blew us away. Looking forward to tasting a whole bunch of delicious wines in 3 weeks time . Join us! Link in bio for info and tickets

Obsessed with granita and brioche first thing - facilitated by it being completely normal to eat what is essentially an orange brioche the size of your head with the granita itself (pistachio/coffee/almond I go for) for BREAKFAST. That’s my kind of breakfast. The brioche has a little ball atop you pull apart immediately and delightedly pop in your mouth in the time it takes for the granita to be placed in front of you. It’s perfect

After octopus with beans, and lemon ricotta gnocchi with artichoke broth, this. Wasn’t sure what to expect from the menu and the broad beans were a bit of a wild one but turned out to be a take on some kind of cavatelli and saffron mac and (lots of) cheese and it was bloody tasty. The ancient grain bread was totally delicious - right up your street (note the scooped out bread bread basket?!) 🐙🧀🍝🥖
