Last up on our Advisory Board is the fabulous (she/her) 👏🏽💓
Lottie, also known as Charlotte, is a filmmaker, music lover and activist who enjoys blending these passions together. She is fascinated by how an artist’s philosophy radiates through their work and shapes society, and she strives to pursue this and capture a part of it. Her music documentaries in Taiwan about Taiwanese independence supporters sought to capture a moment in time, weaving performances together with the wider movement for democracy. She values being immersed in events as they unfold, feeling not like a filmmaker behind a camera but part of what is happening, bringing audiences into that moment.
She has also developed a strong interest in rivers through swimming, filming and advocacy. Her first feature documentary, , focused on Bristol’s river campaigners. She received generous support from her B***y Bass collaborators including who helped create a powerful soundtrack for the film. 💜
