I just wanted to keep everyone up-to-date with what we know so far. As it stands we have a meeting this Thursday to give our perspective of the events of 'that' late bar and to basically show the steps myself, james and the rest of the bar team have taken to improve the bar this last term.

As it stands the decision can go one of three ways:
1) Bar remains under our control (Happy days)
2) Uni take over the bar
3) Permanently shut down.

In lieu of this upcoming decision we have decided to take a preemptive step forward and we need YOUR help! Attached is a petition and it would be fantastic if you could sign it (Less than a minute). It really doesn't need to be said but its OUR bar, that we need to fight for!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Cardiomyopathy Association Charity Beer Pong Event in loving memory of Lindzay Clark. It was fantastic to see so many of you engaging in the noble art of hurling a ping pong ball into beer cups. Lindzay would have highly approved.
I am unaware of the total raised; however, you guys drank the bar dry (I think there is one bottle of Old Speckled Hen still standing...) Therefore; with Vedics on Tuesday and nothing to sell anyway, Bar will not open this week.

Our Hygiene student colleagues have organised a beer pong tournament in memory of Linzay Clark, with all proceeds going to the cardiomyopathy association.

So if you are looking for a way to celebrate the end of term, come down to the Dental Bar on Friday 20th March to participate or watch the competition. Everyone is welcome and it should be a fun night raising money for a worthwhile cause!
