WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK: 15TH – 21ST JUNE
This week we've got World Cup fever, Caribbean rhythms, ambient journeys and DJs carrying things into the night.
A few highlights:
WEDS 17 JUNE — Hot n' Soapy Present: England vs Croatia
The first England game of the World Cup gets the Hot n' Soapy treatment.
Expect pre-match fun, a screening on the indoor projector, and an afterparty once the final whistle blows. Plus BBF Gravity Pils for £5 all night.
SAT 20 JUNE — Kobo Town + DJ Tom Riley
Juno Award-winning collective Kobo Town bring their infectious blend of calypso, reggae, dub, ska, rapso and Caribbean rhythms to The Canteen.
Led by Trinidadian-Canadian songwriter Drew Gonsalves, the band have built an international reputation for transforming traditional calypso into something fresh, powerful and impossible not to move to.
Followed by DJ Tom Riley taking things late into the evening.
SUN 21 JUNE — Ambient Transmissions: Father's Day Special
Featuring Steve Davis and Vel Ilic.
Expect a carefully curated drift through ambient excursions, atmospheric electronics, hypnotic drones, cosmic frequencies and late-night sonic discoveries.
Then keeping the family theme alive, father-and-son duo DJ Beaton & DJ Gyrocopter take over until late.
Live music starts at 8:30PM Mon–Thurs.
Free Entry — Fri & Sat £6 after 9:30PM or when we hit capacity.
