Bird in Hand

Finally, the Bird in Hand has changed hands.

I have been overwhelmed by the cards and presents and good luck messages.

The Bird has been such a special pub and one I hope has welcomed all, which is what my parents wanted when they opened in 1987.

I will really miss all the lovely customers and the banter and I can say it’s been a privilege to know you all.

To all the wonderful staff who have worked hard at the pub, I can’t thank you enough.

Saltford is such a lovely village and no doubt I’ll be around for a drink to two!

Nearly all the staff have stayed so you will still get wonderful service. The only thing you won’t see is my ugly mug!

As we used to say back in the day “weighed in”!!!

We have some Irish dancers at the pub tomorrow evening, Fri 17th March approx 8:30/9pm, to celebrate St Patrick’s day ☘️ 😃
