We enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of balloon tennis at Bracken House today! 🎾🎈 Everyone got involved, enjoyed a bit of friendly competition and had lots of smiles and laughter along the way. A great way to keep active, have fun and bring everyone together! ❤️

We had a fantastic afternoon of live entertainment today with the lovely Danielle! 🎶 Everyone thoroughly enjoyed singing along, tapping their feet and even getting up for a dance! 💃🕺 It was wonderful to see so many smiles and everyone getting involved. Thank you, Danielle, for bringing so much joy and laughter to our day! ❤️

Our wonderful volunteer Elaine hosted a heartwarming storytime session featuring three furry friends: Teddy’s Bertie the bear, Winston the dog, and Leo the cat! She shared her own original story, called "Magical Bonfire Night at Littleheath," which sparked some lovely reminiscences among our residents about Bonfire Night, Guy Fawkes, and firework displays. 🧸🔥✨

Day 4 of FITS Dementia Training! 🧠💜

Today our staff have been taking part in Day 4 of FITS training, learning more about person-centred dementia care.

We have been looking at how our words, actions and attitudes can affect people living with dementia, including malignant social psychology and how even small things we do can have a big impact.

Through group activities and discussions, staff have been sharing experiences and learning how we can better understand distress, support residents and make sure everyone feels valued, respected and listened to.

A great day of learning and working together to improve the care we provide! 💜

🌌🎨 A little bit of magic on Bramble House! ✨
We were delighted to welcome Brandon's Murals to Little Heath, who have created a fantastic piece of artwork in our sensory room on Bramble House.
Using special UV paint, the artwork comes to life under the blacklight, creating a beautiful glowing effect and transforming the room into a magical, colourful space. 💜💙🌈

🎶💃 Music, movement and lots of smiles! 🌈
Our residents enjoyed a lovely music therapy session, adding a splash of colour with our colourful scarves!
We had everyone waving, dancing and moving along to the music, creating lots of smiles, laughter and lovely moments together. ❤️

🎨❤️ A little sparkle and a lot of remembrance! 🌺🎆
Our residents have been getting creative with some lovely arts and crafts, making colourful fireworks pictures and beautiful poppies in preparation for Remembrance Day.
There were plenty of smiles, creativity and a little bit of sparkle along the way!

🍪 A little baking fun at Little Heath! ❤️
Our residents had a lovely time getting busy in the cafe making delicious chocolate chip cookies!
There was plenty of mixing, stirring and, of course, a little taste testing along the way! 😋
Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked cookies, especially when they're made together with a sprinkle of fun and lots of smiles! 🥰
