Who have you wached at Comic Boom comedy club at Komedia Brighton recently that you think is destined to be a future star?

I love this photo taken backstage at Comic Boom comedy club at Komedia Brighton in 2015. It shows (from left to right) Jill Edwards Seann Walsh, Nish Kumar, Alasdair Beckett-King, Romesh Ranganathan and - it was just a regular Comic Boom comedy club show. Not one of those comics was the headline act that night. Seann was our regular MC. The other comics were rising comedy stars at that time just doing 10 minute spots. Look at them now!!

This for me is what makes a night like Comic Boom so special. Our fiercely loyal audience find their new favourite comics at Comic Boom. They watch them work their way up through the Comic Boom ranks - all the way to the headline spot. And if they're lucky - they get to watch them on Live At The Apollo a few years later. I've seen this happen to so many fresh exciting comics at Comic Boom comedy club over the years but the thrill of it never gets old.

We are very happy to announce that the winner of the Komedia New Comedy Award 2026 is exciting new rising comedy star Michael Campuzano.

And our fantastic KNCA 2026 runners-up are George Harvey, Shannon Ong, Oro Rose.

All of our Finalists were incredible tonight and that was a very close and very hard fought competition. Thank you for joining us if you came along tonight. We are nothing without you. What a night!
