Nestled in amongst the yachts and boats in Brighton's marina, is The Watershed, our floating venue which rises and falls with the tides, offering guests a relaxing place to eat, drink and socialise. The Spiegeltent and Brighton Marathon are a few of the large scale and well known events that we cater for. We provide the tailored catering for anything from intimate dinner parties, to weddings, as well as festivals and events for up 80,000 people! Without our amazing teams, we are very much aware that our venues and events would be much like everyone else's. We are looking for a Senior Sous Chef to join our new venture at the Post House in central Brighton.
Our concept at the Post House is to provide our customers with a relaxed, comfortable and sociable dining experience from dawn till dusk.
By day we will be providing a large array of delicious homemade grab and go offerings, alongside a delicious brunch menu. By night we shall be offering a selection of Mediterranean inspired small plates menu, designed for sharing with a group of friends or family. Our menus will be seasonal and there will be a real emphasis on ensuring that our dishes are created using quality local produce.
The Senior Sous Chef position will allow you to be creative and as well as have the opportunity to learn and progress within the role.
You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be super organised, creative and have a passion for working with quality locally sourced produce.

Hours: 42 - 46 hours per week
Pay: £11.60 per hour
Benefits: Share of service charge, free meals on shift, up to 28 days pro rata holiday (PAID), training and development opportunities

Calling all Breakfast Chefs 🍳 🥞

We are looking for a Breakfast Chef to join our team at our new venture in Central Brighton at the Post House.

Looking after our brunch menu during the day, you will be serving up a variety of delicious brunch treats, including pancakes, homemade granola bowls, as well as some classic favourite breakfast options.

As well as the brunch prep, you will also help prepare some of the items on the menu for our small plates evening menu.

Hours: 8am - 4pm, 5 days per week (usually Tuesday - Saturday)
Pay: £11 per hour

Our kitchen team are recruiting!

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team at Space + Time.
We are a Brighton based company with sites both in central Brighton and Brighton Marina. Including The Mesmerist, Black Lion and The Watershed.
The role will include working across all three of our sites.
Whilst you will spend time with the pots in the KP area, there will also be plenty of opportunity to get stuck in and learn new skills with our awesome team of chefs.

Start date: ASAP
Pay: £9.50 per hour
Hours: up to 40 hours a week
Extras: Up to 28 paid holiday days per year, staff food on shift, after work beers, and a massive bonus is that you get to work with a cracking team!

We are looking for a part time Shift Manager and Chef De Partie to join our family at The Watershed in Brighton Marina.

Shift Manager
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a role where delivering excellent customer service is key, knowledge of how to run floor service efficiently and effectively, have great people management skills and have a passion for good food and drinks!
Being a small company that is looking to grow, there will be lots of opportunities to develop within your role and have potential room for progression.
Start date: ASAP
Hours: Part time - up to 30 hours a week
Hourly rate: £10 per hour

Chef de Partie
Our floating kitchen aka The Watershed down in Brighton Marina is run by our wonderful Head Chef Tom, who has a wealth of knowledge based both here in the UK and overseas. With his passion for excellent homemade, locally sourced dishes, he cannot wait to expand his team and share his passion and knowledge with others.
Our kitchen is fast paced, a laugh to work in and has an awesome team!

Not only do we have one, but two kitchen legends this month! 👨🏼‍🍳

Jack joined the company two months ago and has recently been promoted from sous chef to head chef! His endless enthusiasm, passion for creativity and positivity is infectious ✨

Kai our superstar KP from The Watershed has come on leaps and bounds since he started, now being able to run our bar snacks section of the menu, smashing out prep and being king of the pots!!
