Listen, we're pleased to announce here at Ruby Pub & Hotel that we are now sponsoring Brighton's current top of the league Netball team, The Brighton Lionesses. Actually, I'm not too pleased as they are all so sickeningly physically fit they make us all look like fat lumps: so much so that their GS, after a questionable Harrison Hoist, managed to score with our part-time particularly rotund glass washer, Fat Alan, into a hoop from just inside the goalcircle.

Here they are pictured with Tiny Tony, our head of security, holding those vicious brutes back from hurting our delicate clientele to show this ain't a wind-up.

Listen, grab a cup of tea / glass of wine / beer, as this is a bit of a long one, but it's worth it!

We're immensely pleased here at Ruby Pub Coldean to announce we have a new regular team to our kitchen for Sunday Roasts, The Ethicurean Guild, famed for their celebrated and highly regarded roasts at The Southern Belle (Hove) and The Foundry (Central Brighton) as of Sunday 28th March. They are calling this venture Sussex Roasts.

They pride themselves on quality and value, and frankly, if I'm eating out away from my own pub kitchen, they are my first choices to go to (if they ain't booked up). This merger means they can offer their hot roasts delivered to new parts of North Brighton, Lewes, Falmer, Hassocks and Ditchling via our exclusive Ubereats account, specially created to cater for those areas for the first time.

I started Proper Pub Grub Co four years ago to employ ex-homeless citizens as chefs: it then catered for NHS staff and homeless citizens during the 2020 lockdown, and these guys are also doing that, on a bigger scale, so I'd like to help them expand their objectives out here.

Hiya, hope you're well. We're gearing up to our pub re-opening for outside dining and drinking from Mon April 12th, but in the meantime you can still enjoy our hot roasts delivered to your door every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from noon till 8pm.

We roast fresh 3 times per day between 11am - 5pm, so you're always guaranteed a fresh one. Order from Roasts at Ruby on Ubereats, or direct from us for £2.50 delivery inside the first circle, a fiver outside that.

Hiya, hope you're well.

Along with many other fine pub landlords in Brighton, I'm opening my pub, Ruby at Coldean for outside drinking from April 12th.

However, our first comedy night on Thursday May 20th has the excellent BBC regular Henning Wehn as our first headliner in the rear beer garden, provisionally called "Tommy Tickle's Play Area": if a creepier name appears, that'll be used instead. A limited amount of tickets are on sale below, book now to guarantee disappointment.

We've now dragged ourselves into the 20th Century (must check the date before this gets posted) and our celebrated Sunday Roasts and BRZN ales and multipack beers are now available on Ubereats delivered to your door.
